I currently have had my license for about a year and all my experience is hauling gas and diesel to gas stations. My wife and I have been talking about maybe moving south NC area. What pay and all could be expected? I live in PA as of now. I have tanker and Hazmat and a clean driving record. I want to be home every day.
    Thanks and God bless
    Stay safe.

There are a bunch of fuel carriers that you might consider in N.C. Just "Google" North Carolina fuel carriers and you can start contacting whomever suits you.

There are always jobs posted in the Greensboro and Charlotte areas for fuel haulers..
Probably a little less pay than the wages in PA.

One fuel company I talked to was saying a 60 to 70k a year average...That was Torrissi in Charlotte.

Probably the best two are SPEEDWAY which use to be wilco hess and CLI TRANSPORT (SHEETZ). CLI only has three terminals durham greensboro and a small terminal somewhere down around smithfield I think. CLI is all by the hour which top out is 26.20 OT after 40 and safety bonus every three months.

Some years back, I drove for Wilco out of Raphine, Va and I have to say, it was one of the better jobs that I have had. I worked 4 on and 3 off. Made around a $1000 for those 4 days. Had good equipment, really set my own hours. I usually went in around 2 am and Winston-Salem would send my dispatch up by fax. Don't know anything about the situation now since there are no Wilcos in Va. any longer and Speedways in N.C. so the whole thing could have gone to hell, don't know. But Wilco was a good job.
