    Shure none off the 4 bearings ran hotter then usual?
    I would check.

    The color is from the flashlight. I used it so camera could focus before snapping pic. The parts are still silver. Just bad lighting.
    I'll check. My worst thought is. Replacing universal joint.

    I would guess TA would have that bolt. That should be a drivetrain part made by eaton or spicer whoever makes your axles. Its probably a simple bolt that can be had from a hardware store for a few bucks, its just figuring out that correct length, diameter and thread.

    Take the other bolt out and use it as a comparison. Run a nut on it to make sure, and away you go for $3.00. Minus the $125hr. shop rate.

    Where is the locking plate? Should have a thin plate that can be bent up to the sides of the bolt, so they can't remove themselves.

    I completely forgot about the lock plates under the head to prevent back-out. Well the guy tells me hardware store is close by

    You do know that most likely that is a special high tension bolt?
    On the head there are markings which tell you the properties off said bolt.

    Gr. 8 12 pt. 3/8" If it truly "popped" out you're gonna need a new yoke. Not sure if helicoil would be recommended in that application.

    If it unthreaded itself the bearing cap most likely wore into the yoke and will still need new yoke.

    Put it back together and if it's tight, run it and keep a close eye on it. Use a torque wrench, don't guess.

    . Just like. CAT. Its gold have to charge for it. But I didn't have to goto Peterbilt.

    Ya the 12 pt 3/8. Has a shoulder washer attached. So I can't use the bend tabs to stop it from backing out.

    So. Lock tite( thread locker) red for now. Till I can get back home. And do a proper check of all U-bolts.
