Hi all,
I have purchased Premium 2000+ when buying my 2012 T700. Basically the warranty has the most covered, engine, trans, diffs, turbo, aftertreatment etc.
I brought my truck to dealer this Monday as I discovered couple faults then truck was derated when driving. It turned out KW in San Leandro CA recommended to “perform an E108 which is an EGR cleaning” and “replace both inlet and outlet nOX sensors” and also “the DPF filters need to be cleaned”. Have dealer called Premium 2000 and it came back as probably Premium 2000 would cover only the parts replaced which is those sensors. Estimate bill is a bit less than 6k and sensors are about 1.1k. Just want hear y’all’s experiences with Premium 2000, is it legit for them covering only those sensors replaced in my case? Any other services or maintenances are not covered? Or if it’s possible to let dealer replace what’s possible to be replaced—forget about the cleaning and have them put new filters and other stuff on? Thank y’all!
Premium 2000+ Covers inlet/outlet NOx sensors, EGR and DPF Filter Cleaning?

A lot of the things you listed are more "maintenance" of the emission system than "failure". So I could see them using that as an excuse not to cover it. That's the problem with "commercial" truck warranties there's a lot of gray areas. There not like new car warranties where its literally bumper to bumper. General public has protection commercial not so much.

Most aftermarket warranties are only going to cover big ticket items and even then they have a lot of fine print regarding them.
I don't deal with Premium 2000 much but I can tell you I've seen them pay virtually $0.00 on repairs and I've seen them pay almost 100% of repairs. It depends on what is covered, what your failure is, etc.
The best thing I can say is to read the paperwork you were given when you signed up. It'll tell you what's covered and what isn't. Plus read any exclusions. Just because it says they cover a component doesn't mean they're going to cover it on this repair - there is probably another area that explains why they won't cover it.
Overall, I would guess you'll save more than $3,000 (the price you paid) by having it. But don't expect it to be as good as a factory warranty.lance6161, Tug Toy and daf105paccar Thank this. -
