My preveous employer of 7 years is claiming abandonment when asked for references buy new employers nothing is further from the truth. They don't report to DAC and it is keeping from getting hired. Any ideas on a course of action to correct this would be helpful. 23 years experience no accidents or tickets and being told no is not fun.:biggrin_25516::biggrin_25516::biggrin_25524::biggrin_25524:

Give a lawyer $50 to write them a letter. The only thing they can say legally is the dates of employment, accident history, and drug test history.

I wouldn't read too much into your difficulty in finding a job.It is a lot harder today than it was 7 years ago when you started with this last job.

I know I have been getting turned down from companies I didn't even want to work for anyway. I'am blessed with unemployment benefits at present. I say be patient your 7 years with one employer is a lot in this industry. It says a lot of your ability to hang in when it gets tough.Your next boss will recognize this.

Do exactly as instructed above, get a lwayer to write them a letter with your full intentions of a lawsuit and they will stop. What they are doing is completely against the law and they can get in serious #### over it if it is false.

Thanks for the suggestions there is more to the story than I have time to write but my original question is the jist of it. Spoiled rich kids taking over from Dad the last couple years I was there is the root of things there.I am one of several in the same boat.

I wouldn't get into details unless asked with prospective employers just let your 7 years steady employee speak volumes for you.I know I have never been anywhere that long.

The main problem is with pin head recruiters and human resource flunkies that not only don't but won't look passed what the last company says. Most of these pin heads don't care if you where with your last company for 20 years if they say you abandon a truck that's as far as they look. Peace of advice never quit one job untill you have another firmly in place.
