Ok, So a few months ago I decided to go for truck driving its always been of intrest to me... I got my life in order and stated looking for schools I have a recruiter to find me school very nice guy but sadly he wanted me to go to swift and I have heard some bad things so I said no to that one... then came C.R England and I havnt heard good or bad but from the exprince Iv been having its not giving a good inpression for 2 months now I have been try to get the lady recruiter who has my name to call me back the other recruiters wont work with me cause I am her person I guess I finally got a hold of her via E-mail and she told me to call on the 2nd and we would get the bus ticket stuff dealt with .. so I called and got a voice mail and I am still waiting to get my info. I was to start school on the 7th but I dont think I will be.... Does anyone have a school they think is good I should ty and go through??? I seem to be having No luck ....
I wouldn't go to England. I work for Central Refrigerated, which is right down the street, and every week there's at least 1 or 2 former England drivers coming to Central. Central has a driving school, I've heard it's about $2000, and it ends up being fairly easy to repay. I guess if you lease a truck through them after 3 months, you can get the balance of the loan written off, but I wouldn't advise leasing a truck from anywhere until you've had some experience under your belt. You could try contacting Central, you'd be pulling reefers, but it's not that big of a deal. I didn't go through their school, so I don't know how good it is, but you can always look into it.

If you can go to a community college to get your cdl it might be worth it. It'll cost you a whole less and you'll be able to pay the loan back in a short period of time. downside, it may take you 12 to 16 weeks. But you'll learn a lot more than if you got it through a trucking company. alot of trucking companies want a comittment of 1 year. It may not sound like a lot of time but at $50 to $100 dollars a week for a new student driver it may not work out for him or her. remember your cheap labor to the company. While they train you they make lots of money off you. Once you get experience they don't really need you. $40k a year is not a lot of money. With taxes and living expenses, schooling, etc going up around you. You will see real fast the job can become stressful and looking for work in another type of business can be pleasing. Especially the amount of time you put out in the roads away from your family. Think about it long and hard. If you can deal with the BS that will come up. i say go for it. Remember you've been forewarned so don't get mad if doesn't work out. Use your head and get the facts straight. I know alot of onformation will be thrown at you. But absorb as much as you can.

Check with the state you live in. There may be federal funding available. $1400 for my school. I paid for my physical drug/test. Check the job training people in your area. Usually right next to the unemployment office.
How can you not hear bad things about CRE? I would say over 90 % of what you hear from them will be bad. Swift would have been a better deal.... I wonder if I can post that where no one see's I just said that?
