    Hi,

As my schedule turns out I may need to take a 1 month break between the end of cdl school / hopefully getting license and starting a job. My question - is it better to put off training and go straight to job without a break to reinforce the newly learned skills or is a one month break for a rookie not a big deal?

    Thanks.

Anything over 90 days is a big problem. Try to keep it under 60 days to stay on the safe side.

Chinatown is correct... Just keep in mind there are a couple companies that prefer to see an application within 30 days of graduation.

    Good luck...!

It was different in the olden days. I served three years in the Army between training and my first job. It is like riding a bicycle. By the way, the Army made a clerk out of me.

Once you get your cdl, it wont matter. It will depend on how many previous driving experience your future employer asks for, some are 36 months, others ask for 12 months, so basicly you wouldnt qualify for neither. If you find an employer who asks for no previous driving experience, most of the time they will train you internally.
