I purchased my first truck about 3 months ago and I’ve had few problems with it out the gate. I noticed it was burning up oil like crazy, like 4 gallons and I had barley put 2000 miles on the truck and the truck had about 474k miles on it. International is covering the Apr overhaul on the truck and they told me they found the doc and dpf soaked in oil. Anyone care to explain how the doc and dpf got soak in oil?

Because that's were the exhaust goes through and if your burning oil thats were it will end up.

so they sold you a truck burning 4 gallons of oil, then they are covering the rebuild 3 months later.

First problem was the fuel pump it took almost three weeks to get that fix then I notice the truck burning up oil shortly after. Truck has been in the shop about 33 days now, the over haul was completed last Friday.

I forgot to mention the clutch went out during the road test so Im waiting for them to finish installing clutch. I had to pay a lil over $3600 to get that installed.

Why would you be responsible for that on the test drive?

I didn’t buy from the dealer I got the truck from somewhere else. The dealer performed a road test on the unit when I dropped it off bc they had to run some test on the truck and the clutch when out during the road test.
