Hey folks! Been reading this thread for a while and had some questions that might be answered. I live in SW Iowa about an hour away from Des Moines. Will this help with home time being this close to main office? Is being near Des Moines a good freight lane or will I need to be East of I35 for the better money runs? With me being so close to Des Moines, while training, will they allow me to go home every night instead of being in their motel? Thanks in advance for any and all advice! Chuck
Yes you are in a good area. Not sure about orientation but they have a nice hotel. They own it. You may want to stay in the hotel cause they start pretty early. One question. Are you former military? Just wandering 'cause they have a lot of rules.
Yes I am former military and love structure...and yes I know about their rules for walking on the grass among them Chuck
What town do you live in. I had a student who drove from Newton, and I have had one from Nevada east of Ames. We prefer you stay at the hotel, because if you are late, you can and have been fired.
Creston, Ia. Trust me I am never late (but #### does happen so I understand) but if required I can stay at the motel. Chuck
Np was just curious. Ia Sooner do you know anything about my other question..whether being near Des Moines will help out for home time and is it a good freight lane? Chuck

@*Five-0* linked my experience thread, it's a couple of years old, some things have changed and I have moved on from tmc, but I have several friends who are still there. I highly suggest the hotel stay, but you can drive your own vehicle there. You'll be the popular guy, being asked for rides to the store and ####. Stay away from the strip clubs and bars.
