If you feel that what they have to offer best suits your personal needs then go for it. Don't base your career decisions on what others have to say. Most likely you will get more negative than positive. All companies have their good points and bad points. Most of the mega-carriers are fairly the same but have slightly different policies and little things that attract different likes of drivers. Some drivers like to get paid more while others like to run better equipment. Some companies have pet policies some don't. Some allow idling others don't. It just depends what is more important to yourself. For the most part pay and home time is going to be fairly the same. Unless it is a specialized carrier then they will pay a little more. Don't fall for the companies that boast high pay though. Chances are they pay more because they don't run as many miles.

So if you have done your research/home work and TA is what best interests you then give them a call. Also suggest you maybe talk to their current drivers to see what they are getting for miles and such.

Keep in mind that alot of people on the Transport America thread are confusing them with TransAm. They are not the same company.
