This place is waaaay to slow loading. It took ten hours to get loaded I got there at 7pm didn't leave until 5am. You have to park on the street because of lack of space on their yard and it's hard backing into the dock because of little space. The overweight clerk at the front window was rude. Since those people work slower than a handcuffed turtle I get blamed for the load being late. If you ever have to pick up from RR Donnelly Bollingbrook IL well I'm sorry for your misfortune better luck next time.

Well, if they took ten hours to load, you got in your 10 hr break. You should have been ready to roll when you got your paperwork.
As far as causing you to be late, well you can't leave til your loaded, so your delivery time should be figured on when you left the plant. No fault of yours if they don't load you in a timely manner.

It looks like you should be getting in touch with the DM or customer service to make sure they know you were not getting loaded in a timely fashion. I think it is hard to decide on how much cain and abel to raise though, but your being late was not your fault and I bet you the company knows it unless this is the first time they hauled for them. Tyson and Sanderson Farms are another too good to be true deals.

I've never had a problem delivering a late load from R.R. Donnelly... Most of the time, at least my company loads, goes to post office hubs and are first come first serve, so most of the time when i pick up from there my 11/14 hr is running low anyways and usually i'll just go back out to the street and park when loaded!

I understand what you guys are saying about the delivery time adjustments. However the issue is 10 hrs in a dock! I went there about three years ago, never been back. Was there 15 hrs getting loaded. Told DM if you ever try to send me back, I will quit. That place SUCKS! When you get to see two shift changes while being loaded.....???? Well like I said I will never go there again for any company.

On pallets. I heard they schedule truck 5 hours before expected load ready time.

Yeah, the Atlanta, Ga is also a bit slow.

Not as bad, like 3 to 4 hours. Like the IL place, it has some very small tight docks. Not bad in a Volvo, but hell on a longhood.

I didn't notice anything about docks being tight at RRD/Bolingbrook. (Unless they've got trailers dropped all over the place)

The worst thing about the place is they simply take forever. I've never been in & out of there in under 6 hours. 8 is average.

I used to live in the area & it was one of those places where everybody gets a job there & works a month or so & quits because it sucks so bad. If it was a trucking company, it would be CR England, .. except I don't think they con the employees into leasing the pallet jacks.

If I remember correctly, R.R. Donnelly ships catalogs, so printing/scheduling probably comes into play.
