I need to get a replacement radiator for a 2003 xl classic, 500 detroit, 12.7. So far the prices I am finding are around $700. Those are the lowest prices around here. Does anybody know of a better place to get one that may have a better price and be a good quality radiator?

$700 is already on the cheap side as it is for a 12.7 Detroit.
Is that for a 3 or 4 row radiator?

Most NEW decent ones are upward of $1k.....
This isn't really something you want to cheap out on anyway....

You want a good radiator for less than $700, good luck finding it......$700 is reasonable, you can expect to pay around $1,000 for a GOOD radiator. Good luck with your search and let me know if you find one cheaper!

There's good and there's cheap: pick one.
Also: you never get more than you pay for (for anything), you may get less; never more.

Ok. That was the info I needed. So many times I get a part and other guys here what it cost and say "Oh man you paid too much for that." the $700 dollar one I found is all metal core and 4 tubes. Sounds like that is what I am going to have to go with.

That's a good price. I bought a new one for 1200. Peterbilt 3406b cat. Then I had to rebuild one for the 359 Pete and that cost me just as much and I had to build it myself.

it is better to overpay for quality, then to under pay for junk.

4row for $700 is a decent price. I hope it has some warranty beyond 5mins or 5 miles !
