Good Afternoon all. Looking for a little advice here. My husband delivered a load to Ohio. He then picked up another load to be delivered to Louisiana (Walmart). That load was delivered successfully. He then drove over to the next destination only to find out that the Ohio receiver did not empty the truck of all pallets. The Ohio receiver states that they no longer have interest in the left over pallets. Dispatch is trying to get the broker to figure out to do with the load. Any advice as to how he should proceed? He is owner op under someone's authority. Thanks in advance.

Take it home. Happens more often than you may think.

Empty pallets , loaded pallets , did the driver look before they left the receiver , was there 2 stops?
How could you head for a reload with freight still on your trailer , i guess it was a partial and the next shipper only needed 20 ft.

No, he did not. Bet he won't do that again. Costly mistake that is for sure. There were two stops in between. The individuals at the third stop caught it.

So nobody wants the freight. Looks like he scored if it's something good. Years ago when working for J.B. you would call claims in some sort of overage or damage situation and a common response would be to toss it. Lol I dont think so. I had enough paper towels and toilet paper to last 15 years. Cookware, cookies etc.... If he cant use it he can donate it.

I wish that would happen to me. I could use some plate steel, or some lumber, or maybe a new telehandler!

I don't think I would be taking semi body parts to a scrap yard. If they are body parts are you sure they are metal?

    Lacey514 Thanks this.
