I saw an add for a truck company today and almost spit my coffee out. I was laughing so hard. It said, detention pay, $12/hr after 4 hrs. So after 5 hours of waiting you get $12. Woohoo. Thats not worth the ink they used to print the flyer. Stop giving in to these bottom feeder companies. If you dont mind settling for 1 day off after putting in a hard 70 to 80 hour a week, then fine...otherwise go find what you want. Its out there. I just have to laugh at adds like these...
The sad thing about that ad is they put it there thinking it was a draw to get more applicants. The disconnect from owner to driver is astounding at some places...
