When I was looking at independent driving schools to attend, the recruiters said that most companies will reimburse me for my tuition (at so much per month). I accepted a position with Crete/Shaffer, but forgot to ask about whether or not they reimburse for this. Does anyone know if they do?

    Thanks.

You should be able to find out from their web site. Or call a recruiter and ask.

KLLM has suspended their tuition reimbursement until further notice.

OUCH!!! that's gonna hurt the newbies for sure. these schools charge a whole lot of dough and on what a new driver makes that can be a real rough road to pay back.

And all new hires are being hired at $0.02 less. The non-driving staff took a cut too, and had lay-offs. I have faith that these are just measures to stay strong, and when things are solid again they will return.

I surely hope so for everyone employed there. I am sick to my stomach about all the companies (good and bad) that we lost last year. It put alot of good people out of work:yes2557:

Crete does not reimburse for tuition, however they start you at $.08 or so more than other companies pay students:biggrin_25525:
