The DAC is there to report incidents and accidents, you can add rebuttals and comments to the carriers comments, but no one can remove data other than the company that placed the data there.

option 1 wait untill the they drop off your record option 2 remove your self from the dac ie Opt out but than you will have to rely on previous employers to verify your driving record from them.

Hire Right the company that makes DAC report is bound by the Fair Credit Reporting Act and if there is something not true on your DAC they must remove it and if they don't you can file charges against them and a tort suet for damages.

Any company worth their weight is going to pull your DMV record and compare it to you DAC and if something doesn't add up they to can 1) ask Hire Right why these things are on your DAC and not your DMV record. 2) They can call the company that put this on your DAC and ask why that info is on your DAC and not on your DMV record.

If companies really are not hiring you because of what you say is false information on your DAC ask them to give this reason in writing as they are required to do under the Fair Credit Reporting Act as well. A DAC is in the eyes of the law a credit report and if that is why they are not hiring you they must by law put that in writing and mail that to you within 15 days. Then you call a lawyer.

If I do not hire a driver due to something on their DAC, DMV record, and/or because of something a past employer said about them I put in a letter mail to the driver within a day or two. A few drivers have hired lawyers in the past and from what I understand got some pretty good results.

Also if you go to the main page of this forum they have the link to Hire Right to start the whole process of removing these items from your DAC.

But... the DAC / Hire Right does not have to be an illegal act or anything having to do with citations. They can put on the report that driver had preventable collisions and or equipment damage and the driver can rebut the report, but its a "he said / she said" affair.
