replacing fuel injector cups on 2002 ISX 450

    The head has to come off, and taken to machine shop. The new cups have to be cut to the correct depth. That is what sets the injector tip protrusion.

    I know that later model of ISX has cups that can be replaced with no problem…

    I work at an engine machine shop, and I have never heard of an ISX that had easily replaceable cups.

    Cat yes Cummins no. Cummins uses a prssef in copper tube.

    it better to replace entire head, because I called a machine shop, they said cylinder head has to be off and bring it to the shop and they ask $2100 just to replace injectors cups, meanwhile I found brand new fully loaded head for $3450 plus one yr warranty
