Retro style radio with some modern features?

Folks, this bus driver is sick and tired of trying to figure out how to do such a simple thing as turning on some of these modern day radios. Let me tell you my ideal radio/stereo. Perhaps somebody here might have seen something like this:

Knobs to turn it on/off and a tuning Knob, or even Push Buttons, or a Clearly marked ON/OFF Button.

Has a cd player with EASY to figure out and clearly marked controls- however I can do without this

Bluetooth

Audio line in socket

Usb memory stick capable

Please let me know if you know of anything like this out there. This will be going into my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport.

 

I thought I was the only poor soul that was looking for a simple radio to use. I do not care for all the fancy stuff, too confusing.

The first 'entertainment' item I installed in a truck was an 8 track stereo. Around 1973, not very common back then. No FM radios, and CB's were new.

I just bought an old 8 track to put in my restored 1962 Ford econoline ( cab-over ) pick-up. trying to retro it some.

 

when it takes 11 different steps to adjusts your radio, they've gone too far.

talk about driving distractions!

 

While I (sort of) get the sentiment, have you perchance put any thought into where you might procure any of said 8 track tapes???

Just sayin'....

 

Whew... Its SUPER expensive but I believe it has most things your looking for.. If not, they had several other radios like this.

You can get one of those retrosound radios on crutchfield as well. The model 2 is nice but they will be much more expensive than a regular stereo. But only about 400 bucks over all you can even mount the faceplate remotely and have the knobs and the head unit body about 9 ft away if you buy the wires from retrosound. no cd slot or anything. Just radio and usb/ipod connectivity. they have a ton of knob styles to choose from and face styles too.
