Does anyone know what Ryder does for orientation? Do they have you ride with a trainer even if you have experience? I talked to JB hunt they wanted me to take a greyhound to there orientation and then sit there for 2 days at 10 bucks an hour(passed on that).
Only democrats travel on Greyhound, I prefer to fly. Your question, I worked at Ryder in the early 90's, they threw me in a truck after I passed the drug test. The road test was to see if I could drop and hook a trailer, never left the yard. I work with many Ryder drivers, I would say not much has changed.
I did three weeks with Ryder, they said here is your truck, here is your customer, see you when you get back.
