No Speed limiters not required. Sask. speed limits are 110 KPH ( 69 MPH) on 4 lanes and 100 KPH (62.5 MPH) on 2 lane roads.

depends--i imagine you are entering at north dakot--then no you dont--if you enter in ontario then go accross you would have to

best to enter thru north dakota--would be cheaper that way on fuel

Geez... I went across Sask in 2001 on my way to AB and the speed limit for trucks was about 110 MPH on the two lanes. I was in my tin piss-can doing almost 90 MPH and still had trucks trying to eat my rear bumper.

Where are you going in Sask?

If Saskatoon, or Regina, then Portal on US 52.

If going to Saskatoon, you could go through Manitoba through Emerson, but there are permits needed.

You might also check on permit requirements for Sask as well.

probabely get lots of different answers--but my route would be to cross at emerson mb/pembina nd--then up to winnipeg and and then over to sk--i found that to be the best roads--and with most stops if you need to
I94 to 29 --goes right to winnipeg hmm i think that is 75--then at winnipeg take #1 west--that will take you direct to regina sk--if you are going to saskatoon--its a bit longer but still go to regina on 1--then 11 north to saskatoon--good road--well decent 4 lane--the other way on 16 will take you thru small towns a bit of crappy road and basically no t/s

The shorter route is through Portal. Yours is the faster route, but the permits come into play.

In addition, if the driver wants 4 lane, they can go to Grand Forks on 29 and take 2 west to Minot. Works out to 22 miles farther.

And yes, 75 to Winnipeg to 1. 75 is one very rough road.

the bad part is they just rebuilt 75 2 yrs ago
what permits do you need at emerson?
i despise portal--even tho i grew up about 60 miles from there---they always nailed me for smokes --over my limit--even tho some of the packs were a few weeks old--just cause they werent boughten at duty free
