Here is European ergonomy and efficiency at work. Note 2-stroke, 2-cylinder sounds, as well as other sounds: http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=NV_tfRV6JSM&vq=medium
in Europe they build the most expencive cars but they love experiments with unlimited economy. In USSR in 50-s-70-s they tried to make a replica of Fiat500 (0.5L engine), but... they realized that it is too sloooow project and designed 0.7/09/1.2 V4 engines... look funny! air cooled engine never loose coolant! No radiator, thermostat, hoses... Oinly oil cooler.
Pablo, I hope you understand why these cars were built like POS? Or, maybe you are little communist a think that they were cool?
no, there were the cheappest cars in USSR. They tried to make a copy of Italian low end cars, but Italian engines were so weak, that they had to make something better. Europeans like subcompact cars... they make smallest cars! But I like something bigger. I drive Taurus, I have '01 Ranger 4.0. My previouse daily driver was Aerostar. BTW, combination of US cars/trucks with European technologies are always good. My friend, trucker too, put Mercedes Sprinter engine in his aerostar! Really good combination. He put OM904 (4.3L PLD Diesel) in old suburban and sold it! he is powertraine swap guru!
So, now you are saying, that Russian engines were better than Italian? Listen, you can pull that BS on some bolshevik forums, if you wanna do it here you may have some problems with it as I will be first to testify about ANYTHING Russian built. No matter what it was, it has had horrible quality and brainless design.
No, just bigger... Unfortunatly good thing of good quality made in USSR were related with weapon, ore other military things. All other thing were of poor quality. USSR was very militarised country, so they spent to much money for army, more then USA.
