Good question. I stayed out for the weekend because I planned on taking a week over Turkey day. Everything was going peachy until a shipper put the wrong product on my trailer and messed up everything. The NE is high risk/high reward. There's money there, but if your plans fall apart you're ####ed. Prob won't be going back anytime soon. I'm going to try the Texas market next I think.
You don't need the tank endorsement, it's "preferred". But it doesn't make any sense not having the endorsement. All that's required is to take a 20 or 30 question test at the DMV and the questions are pretty much impossible to get wrong if you have any common sense and study the state manual for a day or two. If you don't have the endorsement yet and already got your CDL the state is probably going to charge $10 or so to add an endorsement to your license. Just wait until you hire on so Schneider covers the cost (if it's just $10 might just be worth paying it now and getting it out of the way)
