set for mcelroy oreintation

hey guys I got a call today and I'm set for orientation for McElroy trucking on march 24. Anyone got any advice or information about them they would like to share

I am wondering the same. I would keep looking unless you have some reason you want to wait.

 

im still in driving school and I don't graduate till march 12 th and it would be about a week after that before I can take the cdl road test to get my license

 

is there something wrong with having to wait that long ? should I be worried about anything ?I have a chance with melton too but I hate to tell everyone I talk to yes set me up for orientation and then not do it when I talked to the recruiter at melton I told me him i was talking to other company's and wanted to wait and see what my options would be he seemed like he got mad wanted me to decide right then an there

 

OK, now we understand. I'm surprised you picked McElroy because you said you have no reason to stick around close to Athens and want to travel the USA. The guy at Melton won't remember, he talks to so many students every day. How many other flatbed companies did you talk to?

 

that is true I do want to travel but in the long run it really comes down to whoever will hire me really for some reason don't want to go to new York city I know with McElroy I want have to go lol I also here if u prefer McElroy would keep you out longer then a week at time so I'm going to try for that and just because I choose McElroy don't mean I got to come back to Athens although I most likely will on some weekends get a room at the Hilton and live it up for 1 or 2 days lol I Heard melton was forced dispatch which if true would mean if they told me to go to new York city I would have too I have also talked to maverick and of course melton and McElroy and Ozark which just told me to call them back after a graduate out of all them McElroy pays more per mile 43 cents which includes tarp pay and I'm ok with that loaded and unloaded pay is the same
