Here is one you might not of heard of before. Me and 4 other students were scheduled today for our exam, and you might have seen my other posts about New Jersey coming into the 20th century with there testing this week. Well the other students and I have been basically teaching or self, the school also uses students from the previous class to teach the new ones!!! I have learned more from here and u tube than this school, the only thing they do is provide you a couple of trucks and a yard to play in.
Anyway we went for our test today, I drive up to meet the instructor there (1 1/2 hours) and the guy shows up with 2 trucks, both of them rejected by the examiner, 1 had no paperwork, the other had no seat belt!!! The only thing this guy had to do was show up with legal trucks for us, he had weeks to get ready!!!! They canceled our appointments and said we will have to reschedule. Not only do I have to wait but I think about all the worrying I did for this test and all the studying, I was up all night making sure I had all my ducks in a row, only to be disapointted by a LAME INSTRUCTOR!!!! Sorry about the rant, thanks to everyone on here that has helped me gain knowledge. Peace out.

Don't be sorry about the rant -- you got burned. Post the name of the "school" so others don't get ripped off by those clowns. BOL.

Well, you just had your first real world trucking experience. Not trying to make light of your misfortune, but the trucking industry is full of these "disappointments". So, you have a toe nail up on the rest of the rookies (not a leg up by any means). Now that you have your first one out of the way, it will be easier on you when you go after that 400 mile piece of cake run paying a grand to the truck that dispatch said is preloaded, only to get there and find out it's a live load and it won't be staged for another 6 hours. Once you get loaded, you run your 400 miles only to find that the receiver holds you to appointment times and you have to leave and make another appointment. That cherry load turns into a 3 or 4 day nightmare. And all that bank you were dreaming about spending turns into a suck butt paycheck. It happens!! Daily!!!
