An old timer told me about adding some dish soap to the washer fluid to help remove bugs. How much and what kind? Is this even a good idea?

Two drops would do it. It seemed to streak in the winter time.

    HA.

Two drops of dawn. But you are already stuffing rainx with bug treatment into it right? Don't put anything into that. Keep a couple gallons handy for mcalester Oklahoma this time of year. Sunset time clouds of bugs will make you use a gallon per half mile.

Hell now that I think about it I never put anything into that washer fluid. Here in Arkansas skeeters is the state bug, hit one of those you will find a fuel line to clear the blood from half your windshield.

Get the cheapest blue glass cleaner you can ( Looks like Windex) mix that half and half with peroxide in a spray bottle. Spray it on and leave it set for a minute or so. Hit your wipers and washer, cleans them right off and doesn't leave a film.

I buy a half gallon bottle of great value "windex" refill and dump it right in my washer bottle, then fill the rest with water. Works great.

...Or a good steady rain that lasts all day so the wipers can eventually wear them off.
