Thanksgiving through Jan is when we slow down. Long runs will be customer specific. We used to have a lot of coast to coast runs runs out of my terminal but they are going on rail now. I just brush it off the catwalks with a broom. If its ice you can break it up with a hammer. It takes a lot of snow to make those cat walks too slippery to walk on. The snow and ice falls between the sharp treads on them. If snow is so deep I can't get on top I park it and collect hourly pay till it melts.
