Does Swift or Werner have some sort of a "Dress Code" that they require you to follow?
For a driver just getting started who would you recommend working for Swift or Werner?
What is a realistic amount that a first year drive will make for these two companies?
I really appreciated any info resent or long time drivers can give me.

It all depends on how long you want to stay out, break downs, traffic, weather conditions, etc. There is no real answer to your question. Also whether loads are available.
Everett Thanks this. -
Your dress code is your own , wether at home or on the road, i plan too go with swith, for example, so after a year i'll buy there ball cap and shirt, why, becuse when i walk into the shipper or rec, they can glance up from there desk, at the window, and see you and yell over too next lady swift is here, much faster,

If its more expedient at the shipper/receiver (and more professional), why wait a year??
-
that was sarcasm I believe. Swift has no uniform per se, but you are supposed to look professional. now most wear jeans and either button down shirt or T shirt. Good shoes are a must for your own well being.I have no clue for Werner

No neither have a dress code, 98% of OTR companies do not. There are a few that do and most that do only require you where it while at a shipper/receiver usually just a company t-shirt or button up.
I recomend you forget the names Swift and Werner.
You will Make $20,000 to $30,000 with either of those too, which is crap pay.
there are 475,000 Trucking companies in the US....find another one to work for.

Ive been looking at these two because I have no experience right now. I'm willing to do my time at a company thats willing to put an inexperienced drive behind the wheel of one of their trucks. Does anyone know of a good company to start with that doesn't treat their drivers like crap? I live in New Mexico so Swift sounds good to me cause they have a terminal in Albuquerque. Plus they have all the walmarts around here for when I get the option of a dedicated route.
