What is Swifts mpg bonus program for company drivers. A husband/wife team living here in Wooster just graduated from Swift's Millington school and are waiting to go out with their mentors. They stated Swift has current goals for over 7.0 mpg average to get a bonus. Starting pay is low, so I am looking at as many ways to earn bonuses that are actually attainable, unless I'm a real bonehead with my driving habits. We had a nice long visit this weekend, and they gave me a great amount of "insider" info, copies of training paperwork to give me a head start at the academy and tips on how to have a positive learning experience. Bonus???? What Bonus? I did not think Swift gave out bonuses anymore. The truck I am in gets about 7.4 miles to the gallon.
No bonus I know of. I get about 6.5 in the mountains and the last 2 dayz down here in the southeast/no mountains...8.4
they use to have it but drivers were stealing fuel from each other causeing major problems in the company and such so they did away with it
Hmmm.... I wonder who caused them to get the impression that there were fuel bonuses? They were very clear when telling me about it. I'll call and ask them to see if there is a misunderstanding with who they spoke with. I can't speak for anyone else, but if someone told me (there were fuel bonuses), I know my ears would have been like tv rabbit ears. Uhh, maybe that isn't a good example.
