Everyone makes mistakes; no need to crucify the guy.

True but that is a fairly easy one to avoid.

There are mistakes, and then there is pure dumbarsery..... this one qualifys as the latter. There are so many #### things he did wrong its just flat out sad. First was he pulled into a bank. That one can be forgiven with a blown steer, and while the bank would not have been happy obviously. Its better then causeing a wreck and frankly id bet the bank would have ignored it if he told them he blew a steer and was waiting on a new tire.

Next he backed into an active lane of traffic with no spoter and kept going even after he ripped off his bumper. Then kept going after he hit a hydrent which would have been making huge crunching sounds and breaking lord only knows what. And then kept on going until he ripped it out of the ground amd caused a huge flood also breaking lord only knows what before pulling right back into where he started.

This wasnt a mistake. This was a moron doing stupid things and deserves to get crucifed. While its not QUITE to "lose CDL forever" its at least to "needs massive fines and retraining after a few years on the bench" that said i also wouldn't hire or insure him ever again after that

Maybe the broker specified that you could only have one steer tire and you must supply your own fire hydrant to deliver the load.

i think he should have his CDL revoked for life. anyone that stupid deserves to be making hamburgers in California for $15. per hour.

hell, he might be manager in 3 days too.
