I'm looking from some feedback from those who know better then me about this iindustery.
If u had to choose between going with swift or star ( in IL.)
which one seems like a better choice.

I already have my cdl, but need to go out with a trainer to get started. Home time and money are both a big need here, and hopfully a good job :)

So please feel free to give ur opinions, observations , thoughts ,etc.

Home time and good money are not usually used together in the context describing the first few years of a trucking career.

They are important to almost everyone!

If you get them, consider yourself blessed.

I don't know much about star. But swift doesn't fit either of those wants of yours. If you want alot of time home. Your best bet is find a local/regional company that will hire you. It will take alot of time searching and talking to different companies, but there are some that will hire a rookie.

Hometime? None of the above. From Northwest Indiana, why not go with Roehl, they have a yard in Gary.
