Hey there, I'm due to start skateboard school in Gary soon. What/where do skaters haul? Anyone have any tips on what to expect? I assume since it's Gary it'll involve steel of some form. Anything else you vet's care to share?

Yeah I already read that and as far as info, just seeing if any current swift skaters are on here. I know I want Werner or Swift. I know I want skateboarding. As far as details on Swift those are kind of sketchy. Comfort Zones, etc... Have been watching BigCatTrucker on youtube for some info. So always seeking more insider info. Thanks for the link though.

You can PM the OP of that thread. He is a DL now with Swift outta PHX, also somewhat of a recruitter. There are not that many flatbedders that post on here. There is one ex flatbedder that might see this and can help some. He is now O/O and hauling vans. I know from talking to some, they seem to work in what is called a triangle. Something like Gary to PHX and over to Greer and back to Gary.

they also haul out of larexo, tx over to the carolinas, up to indiana and back down to laredo.. the triangle.
ive read/heard they haul a lot of coils, truck chasis, utility poles, rebar, drywall... etc..

i give props to the skaters, swift or not.. as i just never found the excitement of chaining, being on duty for hours strapping, tarping in rain, snow, heat... all for $25 and $0.01mi extra.
give me the ol' dry van any day.. lol
