Down here in south west Florida Swift is now pulling Wally wagons with day cabs.
I talked to em and I was told .37 cpm $10 per stop first stop is free.

now from what I hear these guys r getting run like dogs. But I need to know if the money is really worth it. I heard one guy tell me they bring home $600 a week. And another bring home $700- $900?

if you know anything let me know. Also please be specific if it gross or net. Thank you

$600/week for any class A driver is way below what any driver should earn.

Like bisqueak depends on taxes, ins, 401k,ect also depends on DC mine only pays $.29 and $10 a stop 1st stop Free.

But I'm on the helping out thing still OTR and refuse to join and been asked twice but I wanna be a mentor and not be stuck here but I refuse to take the pay cut.

I make $.34 to $.42 based on the trip mileage and $15 a stop but they said I could stay as long as I want and the send me home once a week for a restart and if they have me Tcall trailer they still deadhead me back or give me a trip and pays me either way. Back Im 160miles from DC but we deliver all over near my house.

I average $800 to $1200 lowest check here $806 when I went home for restart and took 34 the next day they were short on loads so got a extra day with the family so I missed 2 days that week. Most weeks I bring home $1000 after taxes just over $800.

But it's going to depend on DC how many miles they gaurantee and how many drivers they have mine says 2200 to 2500 but I have had 2800 in a week.

Walmart is way better than OTR, don't have to deal with customers except with the occational backhaul mostly only gotta deal with Walmart and they have to unld u as soon as u get there but mine does not mess with Sams club I did a DC a did in GA and Sams Clubs where a pay in the ###.

Sams club won't unld until 9pm and I had one say I seen u docking when I went to lunch wtf
Walmarts are required to unld u immediately when u arrive even if a manger has to do it while evernote is at lunch.

Tip don't join fleet to make the most and run hard and get in good with the planners and they will take care of u.

Yes. alot depends on the DC. From that I have read, FL is still going through some growing pains. We lost the Casa Grande account because it became non beneficial to Swift and the drivers. I have helped one time at a MO account, and lasted one day there. There company drivers received preference over the L/O that where there to help. FR8 slow, they got the loads. Also out of the MO accounts, dealt with Sams, and all of the appts where late at night, and they would be on the same trailer as Wal-mart stores.

Wal-mart is not always better. It all depends on the DC and how you get along with DM and Planners. They have some very strange rules, like if you run out of hours at a store, then you set your pta for after 10 hour break, but do not come back to the DC until you are dispatched on a load, so you might wake up and wait for 5 hours until you get a load.

Moberly MO lot of short runs and we have too many drivers as it is now I'm kind of surprise I make as much as I do I do a lot of sitting but I still manage to use 70hrs a week.

Bisqueak is right they don't want u to move until your load is close to being ready the dock out time, I try to get back everynight if possible.

We have so many drivers there has been a time when they gave me a restart with 15hrs left they don't always have enough loads to cover the drivers.

Ya the owner ops seem to get there pick or something they always be getting great runs, I do too and even get doubled up at times with 2 loads which is great I like it like that and that's about a $300 day for me just seem like the ops are favored which is weird consider cost lot more for them to run the loads than company drivers.

Moberly was the one that I did work and was doing great when Micheal was doing the planning. Then Aleaf came back and it went to crap for me. She just wanted to butt heads with me. In three weeks that I was there, I think that I was able to get back to the DC one time. The rest of the time, I was either at a store or a t/s waiting, and that is what I did not like. The twenty hour days, wake up and wait and then run another 14. With Mike I was running avg 2500 miles and 18 stops. As a L/O, you can imagine my checks.

Ya Micheal only plans on sat and sun and they have a new girl planning mon to gri and Elif no longer plans, I like it but hate the waiting all day like I'll set PTA to 15:00 and get a load at 01:00 at times and hard to sleep working nights and getting woke up with a Preplan at 15:00 to 17:00 then usually can't go back to sleep because it u don't except they void and u get no load.
