I have 2 preventables with Covenant Transport (while on trainers truck)(they put me on probational period)
Got my DAC report back(called) the lady says I have nothing on there and nothing on my MVR either. I’m wanting to switch companies(co driver left, no point for me to be with a teaming company) was gonna go with TMC they have me setup for orientation on the 1/21/19, but my recruiter says I have to resign(potentially rehireable) with Covenant 1st and I am just terrified that Covenant gonna be salty about it and spill all the beans to TMC (but nothing on my DAC and MVR so I am feeling somewhat confident)
But then again everyone is hungry for drivers so I might be lucky.
Switching from Covenant to TMC, will Covenant hit my DAC?

Just tell them your leaving personal or family reasons.

Big companies don't sit and chat with recruiters from other trucking companies. They refer reference inquiries to a service, either DAC or DriverFacts or something like that. They might not update your DAC until you resign. That's why the TMC recruiter wants you to resign first.

Ofcourse its not on your dac... It wont go on there untill you quit or fired...

Accident history is on the driver application better to be truthful instead of them finding out and terminating you.
BillStep and LoSt_AgAiN Thank this. -
I might just have to suck it up for a year... because I got a loan(huge interest rate) to pay off and I don’t want to be screwed. I have to drive with Covenant for 2 more months I think til I can do they’re solo accounts(the few of them they have)

Their website is pretty terse about their requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain one
- No more than three moving violations within the last five years
- Solid, stable work history
- No DUI's in the last 10 years
- Able to perform essential functions of the job with no restriction
What you should not do is try to fool them. They've been doing this for a long time and any short cut or trick you can think of they will have already seen attempted many times over. -
I’ll ask him tomorrow, if not I’ll toughen up and work with Covenant and get my stuff paid off.
Anyone know any companies that hire with 2 preventables lol?
