Taking skills test in North Carolina with South Carolina learner's permit?

    Are South Carolina CDL learner's permits valid in North Carolina? Or will I have to retake the knowledge tests in North Carolina prior to taking the skills exam there?

    If NC is compliant with CFR 383.79, then you will be able to take the skills test on your SC CLP.
