I’ve been in IT sales for more than 25 years. I hate the BS that comes with it. Been here on this forum since 2010. I was offered a great package last week an took it. At 56 years old, I am not ready for retirement. I now have the chance to do something I WANT to do....OTR.
I am going to speak with a guy from a Trucking school here in CT...Allstate in Seymour.
My question is.... what should I be asking him? Besides a 160 hour curriculum, what else is most important?

    SHOJim and gokiddogo Thank this.

So, you're trading IT BS for trucking BS. Seems to be a good trade and at least you'll be doing something you want to do.

Ask if CR England hires from that school and if they don't you'll look elsewhere.

You probably have an idea of what type trucking you want, since you've been member here for a long time.
    What if your first choice?

Melton Truck Lines is a good place to start if you want coast to coast.
Eastern Freightways flatbed division, I think stays in the Northeast.
