Filled out application online, sent in release form, looking at options and all looks pretty good. One problem, though. I want to drive Flatbed but live in Boise, Idaho.
Recruiter said they aren't hiring Flatbed out of Boise.

Any Swift Flatbed drivers ever go thru Boise? They said that they hire Flatbed out of Oregon, and I am only a 1/2 hour or so from the Oregon state line. Hmmmm:biggrin_2552:

So looks like I will be going thru the Lewiston, Idaho academy in January. I have alot of friends and family in Lewiston so this works out for me. Hopefully they let me into Flatbed from the get go.

I'll drive my own car to Lewiston, will they let me drive it home again before going on the road? If not, my son goes to college up there and can help keep an eye on it for me and drive it home to Boise for me some weekend.

    I'll start a diary when academy begins.:biggrin_25524:

Good stuff. Yeah you should have some personal time between academy finishing and orientation starting. Just tell drivers services that you want to do orientation a week later or whatever.

Thanks, AZS. Hey, did you get that truck fixed? Saw your post last week on another thread.

Turned in my app and release forms last Thursday, now just waiting on recruiter to call me back with the next steps in the process. Getting antsy and ready to get to class and get on the road!
