Well, I am officially signed up for orientation starting on Monday. I am excited to start my new career at Swift! I'll post updates as time allows. Thanks again to all of the Swifty's who have posted up about their past and current experiences at Swift. It sure makes things easier for newbies to understand what they are getting into. Tapeworm
Your starting Monday........and your not on a Greydog tonight? You better get moving!!! Just kidding..... good luck to ya
You going to a terminal in Ohio longshot? I am headed to the terminal in MN.... Best of luck to you, and I hope that you get an awesome mentor!
Yup Columbus, Ohio. Keep your eye out for a young kid named Joe tell him his roomie from Millington said hey if he's there.
Good luck to both of you in getting decent mentors. They really do exist. If you guys have paid attention to Truckerdragon's thread, you should know you are not stuck with a bad trainer. If it's not working out, don't hesitate to request a new mentor. This is the beginning of a long road. Start out on the right foot and the rest will be much easier for you. And don't forget to have fun.
Well, I successfully made it through orientation and am now waiting for my mentor to return to the terminal. Orientation was uneventful and very informative. There is still much that I need to learn - I hope that my mentor is a good teacher! Stay safe out there everyone... I just read that there is snow on the ground in 49 of the 50 states (none in Florida but there is some on mountain peaks in Hawaii)!
