I read Escape From Andersonville by Gene Hackman.

I love the bagpipes when associated with military funerals. I, however, have become drawn to the music in the below youtube link. Abide with me. Memorial day is when we honor our war dead, even the ones that lived to see the fighting stop but brought their demons home with them.

Yes, I am a veteran that manned a desk for almost 5 years. I have been thanked many times for my service on Memorial Day. I always say thank you, but I also remind this is a special day to remember our fallen war dead. No, not to celebrate war, but simply honor the ones that did not make it.

I tend to send condolences to my military people for the friends they lost. Veterans I do separately in November. Not to be disrespectful but there’s a washing down of holidays that’s been going on since 9/11 where every holiday is just “thank the troops”. Flag day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, armed services day, Veterans Day etc. they lose their meaning when every one just becomes a mindless “remember the troops” mantra

I had been under the weather with additional medicines last few days. Im ok now. Some form of fever backed by a heart rate that just would not settle down until they put some BP meds into me. I was running 220/130 at the ER. they gave me three needles and waited two hours I was back to 130/70 where i like to be and they pulled blood to send to lab. It will be a week before it comes back.

They don't have a diagnosis yet, probably will not have one. But best guess would some form of infection followed by a problem in the gut regarding digesting a particular food I had not long before last week. However if the lab does see it in the blood they will be able to go from there. Whatever it was. They also have a few other thoughts in mind, The Cariologists will do a 3D scan on me in a few weeks at the office and decide where I am at with three particular valves probably the Arotic one. It's possible the heart or body chemical problems as well from the Brain. There are like a thousand ways you can cause the body to go crazy from the brain. Thyroid and another gland comes to mind.
