Call your D/M one last time. if its not resolved, call his boss, Brian Roberts. Brian is a stand up guy and will get it resolved for you. IMHO, you've waited long enough... as long as you still have copies you should be ok. Never had a prob with getting reimbursed for out of pocket. they sometimes took their time (like 3-4 days) but never 3 weeks. remember to keep your cool when calling in, you make a better case for yourself when you calmly explain the error. Good luck

I think it best if you call them back. It shows you want the job and take initiative.

to be honest ghost i have heard good things about both. Dont know how prime is now, but my dad drove for them back in the day. I decided to go with FFE, but it might not be for everyone. I am gonna recommend FFE because that is what I chose. Either way Good Luck to you.

Also with Prime you have to have a passport or get one is so long of a time. They do Canada and Mexico. TBH I don't like the whole Mexico thing. They are ruthless down there. Just be careful if you choose them, and have to go there.

Hello fellow FFE drivers, it has been sooo long since I have posted. All is well, Ihave moved around within the company a little; I was hired as LtL, then went over the road after training, and finally I am working the canadian dedicated fleet. Although this company has some issues, I am happy where I am. Yes you must keep up with your expenses and miles, yes getting things repaired suck, yes my first truck was a pos, but you know what? Its my responsibilty to make sure Im not getting short changed, it my duty to drive safely and operate safe equipment bc its my cdl at risk. And I love my new truck and most of all my bank account loves the weekly pay. But honestly was FFE my first choice? No, but I do not regret it. You have to start somewhere. Good luck to all of you

i have the benefit of attending training with both companies and can say they both have good and bad. went to prime in apr 2010 but was sent home on a medical issue. (got the sugar) while i only spent a week there, i have to say it was a good experience overall but with a couple of drawbacks. they put you up in their hotel with one other student. your meals are covered. training for your cdl exam is good. they treat you like royalty at the millenium building.

the bad, there is some guy in orientation (head of security or something) who talks down to you during orientation. i am a grown man, and dont need to be talked to this way. the "job interview" consists of him collecting your cdl exam money, that's it. no time to answer questions, give me your money and make room for the next guy.

after you get your learner's permit, they pair you up with a trainer. for 60,000 miles. (that can be up to 6mos, folks) then you return to springmo to solo out. This is where things get complicated. solo company drivers MUST be assigned to these tiny little trucks with bus motors in them. they call them "baby" petes. cummins ism motors, no passenger seat, coffin sleepers. i see that they have some midroof coffin sleeper cascadias now. you can actually stand up in those. but these are the "snub nose" type with the little dd13 motor. if you want a condo, you MUST lease or train, otherwise shoehorn yourself and your gear into these little trucks. Not how i want to roll, but to each his own.

i attended FFE academy after a year of physical conditioning and diet to bring my sugars under control. stepped off the bus in dfw and was greeted by the academy directors who never once spoke to us in a demeaning manner, but made us feel welcome. The whole staff at the academy was that way. 18 days later i have my cdl and i get assigned a trainer for the next 6 weeks. come back, solo out and get assigned a 2009 century class. not new but its mine for the next 60,000 miles or so. i can stand up, i have room for all my gear, and i dont have to train or team to be in it. truck hits the 400,000 mile mark, and i am handed the keys to a 2013 cascadia.

pros and cons to each company. i am glad i chose FFE, it suited my needs better. of course your experience and needs may be different to mine, so take what you read here with a grain of salt.
