The Main problem isssssss::::: Most problem I deal with on a daily basis are to stupid to be associated with trucks.
I post my truck some and out of one hundred calls maybe two read the actual posting.
I'm a firm believer that if you can't read and act upon the most simple of things how are you going to run a business?
Let's just post a little test and see how many people here can read and decipher this information below ?
12K or less & 40Ft or less, low deck 36 inches
Destination states AL., GA., TN., and MS.
How many here can figure to call or not ??
The 98% who call are the ones who are making money off our hard work.
Let's end moron's in the trucking industry.

ARE is the word in most cases . seems the ones I encounter now have zero details about a load and in about half , don't even know whats being hauled. it's like TQL and Coyote has infected them all with the diesease

I'm not an owner operator but even I know that some brokers aren't worth what theyre selling, while others have loads that you probably couldn't even get your self.

getting rid of all the brokers is like saying let's get rid of all the Mexicans.

it's just not the whole picture

I had fun the other day, at the expense of Coyote... The first mistake the person made was not asking for my MC# and giving me the load info. It was 300$ on 30 miles. I knew how much it really paid since the load was from out direct customer, and listed all the reasons why Coyote shouldn't keep the 600$ profit.
I also had 0 intentions of doing the load, I got the email alert and let curiosity get the best of me. Someone did take the load, and left $$$ on the table.
For 430$ this person burned 4 hours waiting to get loaded, then 3 hours unloading the next day.

Most of the brokers are having a field day at OUR expense. NHL, this probably could have gone in the rates thread, but you mentioned coyote so I had to chime in.

Depending on the system that the broker is using many won't see that extra information unless they are clicking down for details. A couple years ago we looked a one of the minor TMS's that only pulled through trailer type and limited at that.

On the other side, if I was a sales manager, we had a load that needed covered and someone didn't call because of the notes I would fire the person. I would rather a 100 people think I'm an idiot to find that one person that will cover it than sit on my hands hoping the "right" truck will get posted.

Btw, I've never posted a truck for just the reasons you've mentioned. I hate excessive phone calls.

I call it a light weight expedited truck.
Somehow they think hotshot means "work for nothing" is the TQL type mentality.
I had one awhile back try to tell me how much it cost to operate one, with which I said
I got an extra one for sell are you ready to : "make your millions" ?
