I got the word that the cameras were rolling today at SPRIMO as filming started for Prime's new reality series. 5 drivers, some type of competition, and it will be on the Discovery channel. I did hear about one interesting exchange that was caught by the camera crew today. A driver was 5 minutes late for his delivery and the receiver wouldn't let him deliver. Driver called in, extremely unhappy, to put it nicely, anyway things got pretty heated but the fleet manager was able to negotiate a settlement with the receiver, and things apparently ended well. Ring a bell anyone? If so, its all been recorded and who knows, you might make the show. This was just a random deal and not part of the competition, as they were conducting interviews with several people today as they were trying to educate themselves, and perhaps eventually the viewing public, on the trucking business. I'm still waiting to find out more about the competition and exactly how this deal is going to work. Thats about all I know for now, more updates as they come in.
We had a moron on our board who arrived early and parked in front of his reciever. Forgot to set his alarm, and got a service failure sitting only about a couple hundred feet from the recieving office.
This should be interesting. I did hold a door for a large group getting a tour of the millenium and what not. Wonder if that was the crews.
Very possible. I was told that the crew did indeed get a tour. You didn't see anyone bringing in a mahoganny desk did you? I didn't get any updates today and was just wondering if they started the remodeling yet...
No updates on the show at all. This is depressing. In fact no camera crew has been spotted this week. Which is probably a good thing really, they missed the bomb sniffing dogs running around the building on Monday. No need for that to make the show, though they might have loved the drama, and there was some. In any case, I'm thinking that they took the tour and just shot some stuff for the promo's the other day and the competition starts later. I'm anxious for the thing to get going, but less than 2 weeks ago a producer from NY calls one day, flys to St. Louis the same day, drives to SPRIMO that night, and the thing is a go the next morning. I guess it might take some time to get things lined up.....
Suspicious device found above ceiling tiles. Construction workers where tearing out the pay phone booths and stumbled across the device. That's all I know.
