so that you can be satisfied it was done right?spyder7723, CrappieJunkie, classic_150 and 4 others Thank this.

Why is it that I must load and unload my tanker myself?
77fib77, stwik, spyder7723 and 10 others Thank this. -
Wouldn't the guys loading the product have a better idea of bracing their product correctly? I would think they load the truck so they could help secure it too? Otherwise, to me, it's like having a non licensed driver back the truck into the dock. Sure he could do it, but wouldn't it be a better idea if I did the driving and they did the securing?

Here is why....
You are totally responsible for what ever is on your trailer.
EDIT
WAIT ... ARE YOU AN OWNER?spyder7723, AModelCat, misterG and 5 others Thank this. -

So under that theory if you pull into a customer for a drop & hook the first thing you do is rip the seal off the trailer and give it a thorough inspection.
Woodchuck88, 86scotty and Socal Xpress Thank this. -
That's the Catch 22 of the industry.
Driver can't break the seal.
Driver not allowed on the dock.
Driver is 100% responsible for any and everything that goes wrong.
Everyone at that shipper will SWEAR they gave every opportunity to oversee the loading.86scotty Thanks this. -
My guess is they had to eat a claim at some point. By you doing if load shifts or any damage it’s on you 100%

Because it’s your job
spyder7723, AModelCat, misterG and 2 others Thank this.
