anyone know of anything in utah?? i'm thinking of getting out of flats. and expanding my experience into tanks. current company is both tank and flat. so i have the experience.

and the only tanks i can think of right off hand are the oil haulers for the refineries. those are word of mouth jobs. and i don't really want to be finding my way at night in the dessert or chaining 6 months out of the year.

when your pulling 140k through the mud. you have to chain. cuz there's no one to help you get out.

All I've seen in your area Snowy are the Oil Patch guys and the dry bulk guys hauling into NV. Want to say it was TriMac hauling doubles and some company in Ely.

    yeah, i'm thinking of trimac.

looks like it's one of them starter companies for the not so experienced looking at there websight. which is allright. since the tanks we haul are basically a load and dump type. no pneumatics involved what so ever.

    never heard of praxair.

The only ones I know of besides oil field work are the milk haulers. There are a lot of trucks running between Jerome Id. Area to Logan. The only ones that run down through salt lake al the time are DFA trucks.

Thatcher Chemical in SLC used to have their own fleet for local/regional work, not sure if they still do, but might be worth looking into. They used to pull doubles, it was a regular chemical tank and a dry van pup.

Praxair wants a clean MVR for 5 years and no DOT violations, I'd imagine it's a good gig. Haven't talked to any of their drivers yet but have seen them heading east across WY.

Ok. So you can't stay with current company? Or don't want to? Confused.

Praxair works under a Teamster contract.
They are located out on 201 around the KKC smelter.
