No...I am not hanging my key like some drivers. What I do is not taking a load that pay less than $2/mile regardless of where it goes, anywhere and anytime. From what I'm understanding. Most of brokers out there are ATA alliance and they are the one that support the e-log.To prove that, there's another trend that driver got refused the load because he doesn't has the e-log.If we keep taking cheap load, then they will think e-log is ok and has nothing to do with their business. Now I think it's time to let them know and suffer and make them pay.$2/mile is reasonable rate for both side....PLEASE DON'T TAKING ANYTHING LESS THAN $2/MILE. If I have to sit and wait for days, I will.If I have to dead head for 200+ miles,I will. I do my part. And now I'm asking you to do your.

Shouldn't that just be what non-bankrupt drivers do?

If you are going to bankrupt by doing this. Go work as a company driver.

I think he was saying that drivers who have the "gotta run miles miles miles...gotta stay loaded 100% of the time...miles is good" mentality who run that cheap crap are the ones going bankrupt. Those who aren't KNOW what their truck is worth and already avoid the cheap loads.

    No Kidding!!!
We should get detention pay, layover pay, crossing the border pay, extra pay for possessing TWIC, a Hazmat endorsement. But, as long as drivers take cheap frieght, they'll keep twisting the screws!!

the industry standard is 64.00 a hour detention after 2 hours. The shippers usually expect to pay that.
    how many brokers pay that?
