Maybe I'm just still wrapped up in the Thanksgiving mode, I don't know! I had the urge this morning to shout out to ALL the members (newbies and experienced drivers alike) who have been gracious enough to help me during the 6+ weeks I've been a member of this forum. I've asked some bonehead questions, started a couple of not so successful polls and torqued a few folks off. Oh well, life goes on, right? Now to the point: I am so very, very thankful to have found this forum. I've learned an incredible amount in a short period of time-I'll continue to learn. I've also had a lot of fun-I'll continue to have fun. One thing I know for sure is that I've got a reliable source for information and entertainment and it won't go away once I get in the first seat. Very simply - THANK YOU!
I know what you mean! I had no clue what is was like to be a truck driver. I still have no first hand knowledge, but have so much more appreciation for the jobs that they do. My wife and I can no longer look at the trucks on the roads without thinking about the men and women who are driving. I never gave it a moments thought about the lives that they live and the sacrifices that they make every day. God Bless all of you and thank you for what you provide to this country and for our every day lives....God willing, I will be one of you soon!
I'm still trying to figure out where these people go that get on here, introduce themselves, ask some questions, get kind of chummy with everyone, let us know that they are starting with such and such a company next week, then, disappear from the planet. Even the ones that say, "I'll keep you posted", never do.
Oldnewbie, that is the exact reason that WiseOne started this forum. He wanted a way for new drivers and experienced drivers to share information and to help keep the rookies from going with the companies that would chew them up and spit them out. Its nice to hear that we have helped and I will be passing your post on to Wise and the rest of the staff here, so that they know their efforts are appreciated.
