    LOL,,,laughing about eyesight and caps...

Sounds to me like you might want to consider getting a different trailer for when flatbed season is over. I have talked to many O/O's that run a flatbed and a reefer or van. I am NOT an O/O and am only telling you what I have heard while doing MY research.

$2.00 a mile to the truck isn't good??? I have been getting $2.50 a mile avg so far to the truck, but these are also 1,000+ mile loads as well. If I was going to stick to regional like I believe you do, then $2 a mile would put me under.

You are correct about this! its dog eat dog with my 53' flat let alone adding another trailer..
Do think about it from time to time!
Also thinking about trading my new 53 cali-spread flat on a low pro stepdeck...

Yeah that is just crazy. Are you an approved carrier with Landstar at all?? I took a look and there are 19 loads within 100 miles of you that are paying over $3.50 a mile on the board.

Sure I see those rates but don't take them. But plenty of people are jumping on them. But issue I see is my accounts that still only care that insurance and authority are good are able to keep rates low.

My plastic pipe and insulation accounts have CSA score standards and rates are up with them. And open deck accounts have higher standards than my van accounts.
