Yeah! i have my own authority...been sitting more than driving not wanting to take $2.00 a mile.. i guess its the norm now! last year this time 3 wasnt a problem..
though it was flatbed season!
my eyesight is not so good any more so i just use caps! FUNNY THING IS I CANT HERE A THING!
CAPS NEVER HAS BOTHERED ME READING IT OR WRITING IT! I just think its easier too see1
i guess im not up on proper puter etiquit! -
LOL,,,laughing about eyesight and caps...
Sounds to me like you might want to consider getting a different trailer for when flatbed season is over. I have talked to many O/O's that run a flatbed and a reefer or van. I am NOT an O/O and am only telling you what I have heard while doing MY research.FREEBRD Thanks this. -
$2.00 a mile to the truck isn't good??? I have been getting $2.50 a mile avg so far to the truck, but these are also 1,000+ mile loads as well. If I was going to stick to regional like I believe you do, then $2 a mile would put me under.
-
no not regional! im permited midwest- southern....
I have been in florence KY for two days!
middletown oh and the steel mills had plenty 48 thou loads with 30 trucks ahead of you paying 2 dolla a mile.LOL!SHC Thanks this. -
Do think about it from time to time!
Also thinking about trading my new 53 cali-spread flat on a low pro stepdeck... -

Sure I see those rates but don't take them. But plenty of people are jumping on them. But issue I see is my accounts that still only care that insurance and authority are good are able to keep rates low.
My plastic pipe and insulation accounts have CSA score standards and rates are up with them. And open deck accounts have higher standards than my van accounts.
