Use -20 washer fluid. WD40 on the windshield??? Don't do that. Fogging on the inside of the windshield? Make sure the A/C compressor is turned on when you run the defroster.

Make sure your circulation button is not off , let it take in air from the outside , try running ac mixed with heat.
If that dosen't work crack your pass window.
Driving in heavy snow i let the windshield freeze the snow just blows off , aim the heat away from window.
    Good luck

WD-40 on the windshield is like Antifreeze in the washer fluid. It’s oil based or at least has it in it and makes a mess. I remember being 16 and thought I could dumb antifreeze in with my summer washer fluid and bring the strength up. What a mess.
Best thing you can do is get a few feet of copper line, wrap it around the exhaust manifold and the cut your washer fluid sprayer hose and hook it into the tubing. Then at least you’ll have warm / hot (ish) fluid hitting the windshield.

You can add a bottle of rubbing alcohol to washer fluid to keep it from freezing.

This ^^^^^^ mix part part Bay Rum after shave to 4 parts alcohol.. it will extend the life of the wiper blades & slow down the ice build up

I use straight RV antifreeze (propylene glycol) in my washer bottle in the winter. It works awesome for clearing the windshield of ice and crap. Not so great for the side windows and mirrors. I guess some air deflectors would help with that problem though.

I have heated wiper blades. Expensive but they work well.
