Hey Buddy. I was at TTC in Lebanon with you and was checking on how TMC is working for you. I got my CDL and graduated. I have an orientation date set with Roehl for May 24th but am hoping to have an interview with Schnieder this week. The regional run they have talked to me about is exactly (well 90% of what I am looking for. Hopefully I will hear from them Monday after they complete my background check. I agreed with Roehl just to make sure I had a place to go. I hope TMC is great for you. Take care. (Oh and you need to change your student status - you graduated
Bigcove: I do hope that all is well with you and yours and its great to here from a fellow TTC graduate from Lebenon TN. The training facilities, classrooms and campus at TMC are very, very impressive in Des Moines. All of TMC's staff and instructors are amazing, amazing teachers with a great deal of experience in the industry. As a rookie its great to learn load securement, safety regulations, DOT regulations and much more from the staff at TMC. Currently I am in my second week in Des Moines since graduating from TTC. I would suggest to any one interested in flat bedding to contact a TMC recruiter. Other then that I am just sticking with the facts and focusing on my training. Please send me a personal message and keep in touch. God bless
Thanks Shayne (Not sure on the correct spelling of your name) I will certainly pass that info along. I am hoping to hear back from Schneider today on my background check. The other guys that were a week behind you got their CDLs. One of them failed their backing, but passed two days later. All of them were still undecided on where they were going to work, so I don't have any updates on them. I talked with Ronnie, I think he may have been in your class, and he is happy at Trans Am so far. He was in Dodge City getting a load of meat. He said is trainer seems okay so far. After you left out of school, there are a couple of students that are iffy on if they can pass their CDL. One just doesn't have much of a clue on life in general and has no idea what he is getting himself into as far as trucking, the other gets very nervous and frustrated when shifting during road runs, hopefully he and the instructors will get that worked out. They are supposed to test at the state this week. Is the instruction at TMC a lot different than we experience at TTC - I mean as far as truck handling goes. I know we had nothing on load securement. Sorry on the personal messages, but I don't yet have enough posts to do PM's. Take care of yourself. I knew you would excel with TMC and that the fit is right for you.
I did not call yet today to try and let them get my background check in. Thursday is the last time I spoke with the recruiter and she said one of the folks doing the back ground was out of the office until tomorrow. She had received the fax of my background release a few minutes before I had called. If I don't hear from them by 11 AM tomorrow, then I will call. I can not start before May 14th anyway. That is when my current semester ends at college - separate from CDL school. I don't want to lose my tuition money by receiving an incomplete. I did talk to my uncle today - he is a 45 year veteran of FFE (he told me to stay away from FFE) - and he told me that he thought SNI would be a better choice with the regional run than Roehl as well. Although his experience only involves talking to drivers from each company, but I do trust his opinion.

Bigvove: Send me your phone number or email me and I would be happy to catch up with a fellow TTC graduate. I will be leaving with my TMC trainer on Sunday May 2, 2010. God bless
