In Russia i have my own truck bussines..i have 2 old Volvo FH12 with trailers and they work fine. But i need to know wich trucks are best for US and Canada. I mean wich models I Think to take a Volvo but i dont know how much it costs in Canada. Maybe i should buy used truck for a firs time? Also i saw pictures of a new Cascadia but i know nothing about it Pls help me I need information sorry for my terrible english
Good luck with your venture! You might want to ask this in O/O section "Owner Operator" section, but I would guess that starting with a used truck might be your best bet. Oh and your English is better than some that have been born here. Welcome to the forum!
Yes, you should refer to the Owner Op Forum in this web site. I think which model of a truck to buy is of a personal opinion or choice. We all have our favorites, for many different reasons. You might ask (in the O/O section) about what kind of service you can expect to get if your truck needs to go to a dealer to have repairs done on it. What kind of service can you expect if you go to a dealer to get a Freightliner worked on?...etc. Your English is easy to understand. Good Luck!
thanks but some more questions i have First i will try to get a job of a truckdriver and i ask what salary i can expect working as a newb truckdriver in Canada? Is it easy to get the job of truckdriver? Of course i can work hard.... work, and work, and work
It depends of your documented experience as truck driver class1.Most good company's expect atleast 2 years experience, including winter and mountain driving. For total newbee expect 38-40 cents per mile(not km).
