I wanted to get advice and help troubleshooting an ECM issue we're having. So I'll give you quick backstory on the bus. It's an 09 International 3200 with a Maxxforce DT engine and the Allison 3000 pts transmission (vin: 1HVBTAAN09H096575, Miami 1st half of its life, Houston the 2nd half. The company that owned it and bought parts for it under their International account in Houston is named Destiny Limo), and we bought it in July this year. After we brought it home on the 1st trip the water pump failed and it was immediate and severe enough that we it cracked the head and we had to do a full in-frame rebuild including 2 bulletproof oil coolers in July. Worst luck in the world! We also had some wiring issues and other things. Last week after I performed a Parking REGEN on the bus at our lot for about 45 min until the regen light turned off and everything seemed fine (inlet hose clamp broke a 8 miles from our lot and that is what brought up the REGEN lights). 2 days later when my driver then took it out the bus gave a transmission service light and the bus had a beeping light, which seemed like a transmission service. The transmission temperature was not running hot, maybe 200 degrees max but not overheating. But after resetting the service light it was acting funny and going in the limp mode after 30-40 min of warming up. We took the filters out and they were very dirty and looked to be original, though the bus only has 100k miles. It is also important to note the transmission fluid color was unchanged and not black, and did not smell burnt at the dipstick. So we changed all 3 filters and fluid but there are these codes and the transmission still acts weird, it's like it slips when coming into a stop like it's also in reverse too.

P0667 Allison over heat code (which my mechanic says is most likely from the original engine over heat)

    P0688

    P0601

    P0651

My mechanic did find some loose connections (bus everywhere including ac system and at top fans all had jerry-rigged wiring) at ECM and fixed but we're trying to get some advice, and I figure you're the best person to ask. Is this a common set of codes, maybe bad ECM? or bad harness or connection? We figure this is what is causing the transmission light problem. There were signs of salt water build up in some areas. Also it happened immediately after the parking regen cycle which I know makes the exhaust incredibly hot. Could this be a bad ECM, or bad harness?

Thank you so much for any help. After just doing an in-frame we don't have money to throw at problems guessing.

I don't have access any allison diagnostics at home. Not into work until Tuesday. Everything I am finding by general google searching isn't helping.

    luxtrans Thanks this.

Thank you so much, we're at a standstill and at this point we can't dump in a ton of money anymore. We've been searching for shorted wires, found one and fixed but these codes still remained.

Ok, well, I checked into the codes you provided. Guess what? None of them are codes listed in any manual I have found. Maybe this is why I am having such a hard time with them. I need you to double check those code numbers.

I just ran into something similar. It was the wiring harness near the bell housing and exhaust.
