I just got this 2007 Freightliner Columbia and had some A.C. issues. Before the mechanic started buggering around with the A.C. it the APU worked. First time he changed O rings on high side running under bunk, then o ring on low side. Second time change both high and low side lines running under bunk and the j block. A.C. was working and then the blower quit. He then said he was going to check the fuses and relay, he determined that is was a relay. I later realized he was swapping out fuses and wipers stopped (unrelated note). I was wondering would a reset clear it or could it be he screwed around to much with the fuses? I just learned how to rese aput from a post on this forum. I will try that first when I get back in my truck.

I'll have to check when I get back to the truck. I don't remember the numbers it used but I believe it spelled eng with numbers and the red light on the top of the panel came on. The blower would come on but I never heard the beeps. Then it went into stand by mode. I never heard the the motor try to kick on and It has oil.

Ok if you are running ac and you get the fault code, it means either you are low on refrigerant, or the do hicky on the back of your truck below the fan is bad and needs to be replaced. (The do hicky has 2 wires that are attached to it and looks almost like a small round fuse.)

considering you are getting a fault code this is the most probable cause for your situation how do I know had it happen and had to replace the do hicky part. And haven't had a problem since. Don't put refrigerant in if you don't know as if you have too much in the system you can burn out the compressor.

    hope this helps
